Atari and SEGA

Pac man was the second video

game ever made.

He is a yellow ball that has a mouth.

The objective of the game, is to eat all smaller squares and never interfering with the ghosts.

It has typical video game music.

Today you can play Pac Man on the internet.

Pac man made his 30th anniversary some time ago.

When you get a bigger square, you can kill the ghost.

I am giving Pac man so much attention because he was the first Atari game and is the most classic game of all times.

Pac man came from a big industry called Atari.

Atari had the best 2D games ever, but on day, Atari bankrupt and Pac man was over.

After Pac man, a new company came: SEGA.

SEGA today is "dead" too, now we have Nintendo and Play Station.

SEGA also had devises, like the SEGA Saturn and the SEGA Genesis. There were special editions of some games called Dream Cast.

3D universe

In 3D filmes, you put glasses and watch as the images pop out of the screen.

3D means 3 dimensions. Shapes, like squares, have 3D forms too.

A square turns into a cube, a triangle into a pyramid and circle into a sphere.

If you flat down a square box, you will see how it is made, follow this example:

As you can see, a cube is made of squares, lets see a pyramid:

The other forms are the 2D forms.

In 3D, a cube is made of squares, so you can use math to calculate how many lines compose a square.

A pyramid is made of triangles, but the lower part is a square, to make a cone, you must change the square for a circle.

A sphere doesn't have any lines or dimensions.

World Cup 2010

The world cup is a date that FIFA uses to unite some countries.

There are many teams that are formed, each one with four countries.

They will play soccer against each other. Two of them will be eliminated and two will continue.

In the end, only one stands and will get the trophy.

The 2010 world cup takes place in South Africa and the problem is tat South Africa is very poor, so thanks to the world cup, they are reforming South Africa.

The ball is the famous Jabulani. It means "peace and happiness to all" in the IsiZulu language.

The Jabulani gets out of control when it runs faster than 72 hour p/hour. It is a light ball, so it can jump very high.

It is much faster and lighter than the one used in 2006, last world cup.

So far, only 8 countries remain and one of them is the heroic Ghana, the only african country EVER that went this far in a world cup.

Brazil is the best of FIFA's ranking.

North Korea is the worst, but is better then Algeria.

South American teams again performed strongly in the round of 16, with four of the five teams advancing to the quarter-finals including Brazil who defeated fellow South American team Chile, the largest number of South American teams in the final eight since 1930. England's 4-1 loss to Germany marked England's worst ever defeat at a World Cup finals. Ghana defeated the United States to become the third ever African team to reach the last eight (along with Cameroon in 1990 and Senegal in 2002). The two North American and two Asian teams were eliminated. Both Paraguay and Ghana reached the quarter-finals for the first time.
